I've just recently stumbled onto your blog and found this entry. I've tried something very similar to this but really like the way you've simplified the music with a summary at the beginning.

One question though, how are you setting up with a metronome during a set (this is something I've never really done and struggle with a little). are you using your in ear monitors?

I like the manuscript paper and look forward to using it with an Irish band, The Wild Colonial Bhoys, that I regularly play with. I can see already how useful this makes things, since Irish punk songs have one of three main beats. When all the songs have similar chord structures it can be a headache to match the right beat up!
